With generational divides wider than ever, parents, educators, and employers have an urgent need to understand today’s rising generation of teens and young adults. Born in the mid-1990s up to the mid-2000s, iGen is the first generation to spend their entire adolescence in the age of the smartphone. With social media and texting replacing other activities, iGen spends less time with their friends in person—perhaps contributing to their unprecedented levels of anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

Pornography Resources

“Pornography is any depiction, in pictures or writing, that is intended to inappropriately arouse sexual feelings. Pornography is more prevalent in today’s world than ever before. It may be found in written material (including romance novels), photographs, movies, electronic images, video games, social media posts, phone apps, erotic telephone conversations, music, or any other medium.

Physical intimacy is a sacred part of Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness. However, the adversary tries to thwart

the Lord’s plan of happiness by suggesting that physical intimacy is only for personal gratification. Pornography is a tool of the adversary and its use causes the Spirit of the Lord to withdraw from us (see Doctrine and Covenants 63:16). – LDS.org Gospel Topic, Pornography. Includes instruction from prophets and apostles, scriptures, manuals, media, teaching outlines and more.

Children’s Service Society

There are 24,000 children in Utah that have a grandparent as primary caregiver. Although the number one reason for this fact is drug use by the child’s parent(s), there are also other issues such as poverty, death of the parent, incarceration and mental illness. Children’s Service Society empowers families and caregivers through services that support the safety and well-being of children.

“Legal clinics give general legal information and brief legal advice. You can also get help with forms, and ask questions about the law. Most legal clinics handle civil law matters only. Talking to someone at a legal clinic is not the same as hiring an attorney. Going to a legal clinic can help you decide if you can handle the matter on your own, or if you should hire an attorney.”
